Legal News: BigLaw Continues to Restructure Workforce
Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton became the latest large law firm to lay off staff members, the number of staff was not published. In addition to Cleary Gottlieb, fellow BigLaw firm, Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom, would lay off just under 4% of its professional staff across its U.S. offices.
The question remains whether these continued layoffs from major legal industry players are due to worsening financial conditions or signs of the next labor structure evolution.
