You need to have a “high deductible plan” to set up a Health Savings Account. With a high deductible plan, you will pay less in premiums, but will initially pay more when you have a claim, since you must first exhaust your deductible.
You should check out the administrative fees charged by a particular Health Savings Account as these can vary greatly.
