COVID-19 Relief Law - Not a Scam, IRS Stimulus Debit Cards!
The Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act ("CARES Act") authorized the issuance of an Economic Impact Payment ("EIP") aka the $1,200 "Stimulus Check". While most taxpayers are aware of the payments existence and the "check" issuance an alarming new trend is emerging.
Lesser known is the Treasury Departments switch to use of the EIP Card, a pre-paid visa debit card, as part of the US Debit Card Program.
Taxpayers across the country are throwing away their stimulus payments mistakenly assuming them to be scams or credit card offers! If you receive the card below, do NOT throw it out! Please help spread the word and prevent your fellow citizens from missing out on their payments.
