Zubin has had extensive experience in financial services-related litigation, particularly foreclosures, representing both creditors and homeowners successfully in courts throughout the state. He has an excellent understanding of the key issues, methods, and arguments advanced by both plaintiff's and defendant’s counsels within the foreclosure arena, and after years of experience with hundreds of foreclosure cases of every variety, he knows what is necessary to achieve real and positive results for homeowners, and is gratified by being able to help homeowners fight for their rights.
Zubin is also experienced in real estate matters including residential and commercial development, general construction, and real estate transactions. He also has experience in regulatory, transactional, and advisory matters, particularly with respect to information security/data privacy regulations and compliance.
Zubin served as a Law Clerk to the Honorable Kenneth S. Levy, P.J.Ch., Honorable Harriet F. Klein, J.S.C., and the Honorable Walter Koprowski, Jr., J.S.C. in the Chancery Division of the New Jersey Superior Court in Newark, New Jersey, where he assisted with a variety of equity matters as well as with a very substantial number foreclosures. In his work on general equity cases, which go beyond simple monetary disputes, Zubin developed his skills at analyzing, understanding, and clarifying complex and intricate disputes between parties. Equity cases, which often seek relief in the form of either compelling or enjoining an act, temporary restraints, or emergent relief on an expedited basis, many times involve parties who are linked in complex ways, such as through third parties, prior agreements, or ongoing contracts or other obligations. Zubin's ability to understand the details of these disputes and sort through the facts is a key asset in helping clients reach a positive outcome, because it often means excellent results can obtained without having to litigate tooth-and-nail.
Zubin received his Juris Doctor from Rutgers School of Law-Newark. He received his B.S. in Applied Economics and Management from Cornell University. While at Rutgers, Zubin worked in the Urban Legal Clinic, successfully fighting on behalf of low-income clients in a variety of matters including lawsuits in the special civil part, landlord-tenant issues, and other types of disputes.
